What is an Edible Image made of?

Edible Photo Images are an amazing invention. You may have seen edible images displayed on cakes and cupcakes in your local bakeries. Edible images make every occasion extra-special because of the personal aspect. Any type of photo or design can be duplicated to make delicious, amazing photo treats that will bring joy and delight to all. For example, if you are having a family reunion, place edible pictures of everyone in the family right on the cake. The cake creates wonderful memories for all to talk and laugh about and it is fun to eat as everyone giggles while eating Grandpa’s head and Uncle Tom’s arm.

An edible image is frosting that has been pressed ultra thin onto a backing sheet. Images are applied using a printer with edible inks. The frosting sheets smell like frosting, it’s like walking into a bakery, the aroma is wonderful. I have tasted the frosting sheets and I don’t think it has much of a taste. From the smell I was expecting a blast of frosting but it was very mild. When you place the frosting sheets on top of frosting, icing, or whipped cream it will blend with the toppings after about 15 minutes and become as one. If you took a swipe of the frosting image with your finger, as many of us do to those irresistible looking cakes, you would not notice or taste anything different.

You can purchase edible images on-line and make your own cakes and deserts for all the special occasions in your life. These are the same frosting sheets that are provided to bakeries and they are very easy to use.

Frosting sheets are Kosher & FDA approved and have ZERO (0) Calories , Calories from Fat, Total Fat, Saturated Fat, Trans Fat, Cholesterol, Sodium, Dietary Fiber, Sugars, Protein, Calcium, Vitamin A , Vitamin C, and has Carbohydrate 1g.

Frosting sheets are made from Water, cornstarch, Corn Syrup, Corn Syrup Solids, Cellulose, Sorbitol, Glycerine, Sugar, Vegetable Oil, Arabic Gum, Polysorbate 80, Vanilla, Titanium Dioxide, and Citric Acid. Contains no know allergens.

Now you can enjoy eating that photo cake without wondering what the heck it is made from.

The printer for these edible photos must be dedicated for the cake printing I suppose. I have only seen something like this on television shows. I sure hope to one day seeing one in person.
